For the five common faults of touch screen, including no response to touch, no response to touch some areas, no response to touch position, fixed cursor and cursor beating, the following are the cause analysis and the solutions to the fault problems:
Fault description 1:
Touch screen does not respond, click on the screen cursor does not respond.
Whether the Touch driver is installed correctly;
Correct installation of Touch Drive, two points should be paid attention to: one is that RS232 interface option should be removed in the process of installing touch drive on resistance screen (see the instruction manual for details), and the other is that touch drive does not need to be installed manually on capacitance screen, the operating system (Windows) will automatically identify the corresponding touch driver;
Whether the connecting line between touch screen and touch control board is normal or not;
Check whether the connection line between the touch control board and the built-in USB plug of the motherboard is normal or not, and it can be re-plugged or changed for testing, but it should be noted that the position and direction of the plug must be correct to avoid the burning of the circuit;
Whether the connection line between touch control board and motherboard is normal or not;
Check whether the connecting line between touch screen and touch control board is normal or not, which can be re-plugged or changed for testing, but it should be noted that the position and direction of the plug must be correct to avoid the burning of the circuit;
Whether the touch screen or touch control board is damaged or abnormal;
Check whether the touch screen or touch control card is damaged, and replace the touch screen or touch control card for testing;
Whether the operating system (Windows) has an error message;
If an error message appears in the operating system (Windows), you can choose to replace another host or reinstall the operating system;
Whether the operating system (Windows) and the touch screen have software and hardware conflicts or are incompatible.
If software and hardware conflicts or incompatibility occur between the operating system (Windows) and the touch screen, please change the operating system version.
Fault description 2:
There is no response in a certain area of the touch screen
Whether incorrect calibration has been carried out;
The calibration of resistive touch screen needs to be cleared and corrected in the driver program first, and then the linear setting of 9 or 25 points can be done accurately. At the same time, attention should be paid to: when the calibration setting is done, the eyes must be perpendicular to the calibration point on the screen, and then click the center point with the touch pen; Generally, the capacitive screen does not need to be calibrated. First, check whether the connection between the connecting cable of the touch screen and the touch control board is loose, reconnect correctly after power failure. If manual calibration is required, open the options in the control panel, click calibration, and perform calibration according to the screen prompts;
Whether it matches the current driver;
Uninstall the incorrect driver and install the correct driver after restarting (see the instructions for installation methods);
The screen may be damaged or abnormal.
Replace the touch screen or touch control board before testing.
Fault description 3:
The touch position is different from the cursor position displayed on the touch screen (deviation or reverse).
Whether incorrect calibration has been carried out;
The calibration of resistive touch screen needs to be cleared and corrected in the driver program first, and then the linear setting of 9 or 25 points can be done accurately. At the same time, attention should be paid to: when the calibration setting is done, the eyes must be perpendicular to the calibration point on the screen, and then click the center point with the touch pen; Generally, the capacitive screen does not need to be calibrated. First, check whether the connection between the connecting cable of the touch screen and the touch control board is loose, reconnect correctly after power failure. If manual calibration is required, open the options in the control panel, click calibration, and perform calibration according to the screen prompts;
No calibration is carried out after the resolution of the display is changed;
Recalibrate at the new resolution;
Whether the current touch control board has electromagnetic interference from other high-frequency equipment;
Change the connecting line between touch control board and mainboard (you can choose the wire body with magnetic ring and pay attention to the correct plug direction and position), or move the touch control board to the place with less interference before testing;
Touch screen or touch control board may be damaged or abnormal;
Replace the touch screen or touch control board before testing.
Fault description 4:
The cursor is fixed at a point on the screen of the touch screen
Whether incorrect calibration has been carried out;
Re-correct calibration (calibration of resistive touch screen needs to be cleared and corrected in the driver program first, and then the linear setting of 9 or 25 points can be accurately calibrated. Meanwhile, attention should be paid: when making calibration settings, the eyes must be perpendicular to the calibration point on the screen, and then click the center point with the touch pen; Generally, the capacitive screen does not need calibration operation, first check whether the connection between the connecting cable of touch screen and touch control board is loose or not, and reconnect correctly after power failure. If manual calibration is needed, open the options in the Control Panel and click calibration, and perform calibration according to the screen prompts.).
If the touch screen is installed too tight or there is deviation, the outer frame should be pressed in the touch area;
Adjust the screen frame to tighten properly or reinstall the touch screen;
Touch screen or touch control board may be damaged or abnormal.
Replace the touch screen or touch control board before testing.
Fault description 5:
The cursor beats on the touch screen
Whether the temperature of the current touch control board is too high or there is electromagnetic interference from other high-frequency equipment;
Replace the connecting line between touch control board and motherboard (you can choose the line with magnetic ring and pay attention to the correct plug direction and position), or lower the temperature of the touch control board or move it to a place with less interference before testing;
The power supply of touch control board is unstable;
Replace the power adapter or better quality power socket;
Touch screen or touch control board may be damaged or abnormal;
Replace the touch screen or touch control board before testing.
